The LionHeart Football Boys Pre-Academy (Wallington) is an invitational training centre, based at Powerleague Croydon and Wilsons Grammar, for gifted and talented young boys aged 4 to 8 (Reception to Year 3). It is recommended that players who are interested in joining our academy have had previous experience playing a competitive standard of local grassroots football, school football or moved on from a professional football club’s academy.
All pre-academy members have been offered a place must wear LionHeart Football Academy Kit which can be purchased here. Shin pads, moulded football boots (3G surface pitch) or indoor trainers (sports hall) depending on the surface and a bottle of water are also requirements for the session.
If your son is attending a FREE TRIAL, he will need to wear sportswear clothing suitable for the weather conditions, shin pads, moulded football boots (3G surface pitch) or indoor trainers (sports hall) and a bottle of water.
Training is held on Mondays.
U5-U6 play from 5:15pm to 6:15pm.
U7-U8 play from 6:15pm to 7:15pm.
We ensure Pre-Academy sessions are carefully planned, progressive, highly educational, enjoyable and delivered with great care and energy for all players in attendance. U5-U8 indoor futsal sessions are held at Wilson’s School, Mollison Drive, Wallington SM6 9J. Alternatively, outdoor football sessions are held at Powerleague Croydon, Hannibal Way, Wallington, Croydon CR0 4RW.
